Official Announcement of Candidacy Press Release

Danelle Dodge Steps into the Race for FL District 8

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Danelle Dodge, 51, of Cape Canaveral Fla., announced her candidacy for Florida’s 8th Congressional District, officially filing on Feb. 16, 2022. She is running on a Common Sense Governance platform.

“It is the duty of a Representative to be the community’s connection to the Federal Government, federal dollars and federal resources to address the issues facing their constituents,” said Dodge. She plans to listen, support and advocate for ALL the people of FL District 8.

Her passion for people, family and fairness drive her to stand up and say it’s time for change.

“Expanding critical safety nets like Social Security and Medicare, making middle class tax cuts and child tax credits permanent, restoration of the Indian River Lagoon and a high speed rail stop in the district are just a few projects where advocacy for funding at the Federal level can make a huge difference in Floridians lives,” Dodge said.

Dodge is the Co-Owner and VP of Total Recall Inc., an Educational Technology Company established in 2004 in Gig Harbor, WA. She was also certified in 2007 as a Childbirth Educator (teaching from 2007-2017) and Birth Doula. She graduated from the University of Washington Tacoma in 2000 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences with a Concentration in Self and Society.  Dodge is a former Navy spouse, mother of 4 adult children, and married to her husband Andrew.  She also volunteers with the Cape Canaveral Friends of the Library and moderates their monthly Library Book Club.
